(More customer reviews)This cage is fantastic we use it for our four chinchillas.It provides ample space for all four chinchillas and they can comfortably jump around with out angering each other or knocking anything over.The cage is big 4 layers (five if you count the bottom).The bottom shelf has very fine wiring so their delicate feet don't get caught in-between it.It also has a very large under cage pull-out litter pan (much like that of a bird cage).The doors to the cage have a lock where you have to squeek them both and pull the door to open it, which keeps my clever critters from opening the door on their own. The cage is very sturdy and looks beautiful in the home not to mention it fits neatly in the corner without looking small or damaging our walls.

The only reason I gave it a four instead of a five is because of the assembly.It is difficult to put together, not because of the design, but because of the instructions.They only provide a picture which does not prevent you from accidentally putting pieces on upside-down (which myself and my fiance did a few times).

All in all its a fantastic cage as long as you don't get too frustrated during the assembly period.
