(More customer reviews)I looked at this cage several time before ordering it. It had several features that other cages didn't. It arrived sooner then I thought it would which made me very happy. The cage is wonderful, I really like the "mess guard" and the grates, I don't need a resting matt to protect her feet. It's the perfect size for where I live and it was easy to put together. I highly recommend the cage to anyone with a house bunny....My bunny really likes her new "bunny condo"

(More customer reviews)I have two little boys who are the absolute apples of my eye (seriously, I've only had them a little over a month and I am completely wrapped around their little paws), and I decided this would be a wonderful cage for them. I knew it would be big, and since I wanted to house my boys together I planned on attaching a smaller cage to the setup to give them more space.
So I've had it for a month now, and I think it's time to review!
PROS:
Roomy - plenty of space for one dwarf hamster, or two with an add-on.
Easy to assemble/disassemble for cleaning.
Easy to clean - few corners means it's easy to wipe down.
No wires for Houdini's, very secure when shut up.
CONS:
Water bottle - it's at an awkward angle for my Dwarf Hamsters. I can't imagine how on earth Syrians are supposed to use it! If you purchase the standard metal tube water bottle from your pet store you can rest it in the hole for the built in water bottle and tape it into place. I would encourage you to do this, as it leaks when you jiggle it trying to get it in and out of the little slot. Scared the bajeesus out of me, because I thought my hamster had wet tail. Turned out he was only wet from hanging out beneath the bottle!
Very expensive - while it's a very well-made product, it's rather pricey.
Uneven bottom - the bottom is ridged so that you can use the included cardboard maze and the wheel/food dish assembly. This also means if you try to have 2 wheels, one of them is going to be at an angle all the time (at least the way I had to have mine set up; my boys refused to use both wheels unless they were feng shui'd to their habitat - no joke!).
Sometimes the orange doors don't slide down all the way, usually when the water bottle is attached - it's heavy! Make sure you always double check that the door has clicked into place!
SUMMARY:
It's pretty, but also pretty expensive when you consider you should replace the water bottle and the wheel, and purchase a food dish. However I'm very happy with this cage. It has plenty of room for the boy who lives there now (had to separate due to fighting), and except for the water bottle issue I've had no major problems. I would highly recommend this cage to anyone who has cats - it's very sturdy, and as long as the cats can't knock it over your hammie will not escape.
CAUTION:
I would not recommend this product for anything larger than a Russian Dwarf Hamster; it's very spacious, but the water bottle in the OVO line of products is too unwieldy for the hamster and the owner. I can't imagine how a Syrian is supposed to use the water bottle!

I did not had to worry about puting the cage together so by doing that saved me a lot of problems. (More customer reviews)This cage is awesome. I have a very large syrian hamster and she is quite the escape artist. But, she can't seem to get out of this one and she's very content. It's also fun seeing her run around in all of the tunnels or climb up the stairs to eat the food. The opening to the cage is very nice. It's not a metal door, instead it just folds up giving you a lot more space to put toys in etc. Very easy to set up (if you follow directions) and comes with lots of tunnels. I would recommend this product to anybody!

(More customer reviews)We bought my son two fancy mice a few months ago.We bought a pretty basic cage from the pet store for about $20-25 and an extra "igloo" house for them to snuggle under.Overall we spent about $25-30 for this basic setup and ever since then we've dealt with the constant vacuuming from bedding being thrown out.Not any more!Don't settle for a cheaper cage!Do it right the first time.
This was a fantastic purchase.I should have bought this from the beginning.The wheel does NOT squeak like the one we had.Bedding cannot be tossed out.There is a cute "cellar" for them to snuggle under to help protect them from drafts.The wheel can be easily blocked off with the pets inside for easy cleaning without having to catch your critters.This is another perk if you have tiny kids.You can block off the external wheel while you are not around to supervise your kids....Handy if you have a kid that might have the urge to give them a spin.
Don't try and save a few dollars on a cheaper wire version.They are much harder to clean, draftier, and litter will be everywhere within two feet of the cage.Get it right the first time.I would highly recommend this cage!!!Highly!!!!

(More customer reviews)I'm hamster sitting for a friend, and they have a couple of these dens.I think they're great.It's a syrian hamster, and it doesn't seem even close to being able to open it...maybe the other reviewer has a real hulk of a hamster, though.
One caveat, though: open the den with care.The way it opens, the lid actually intersects with the entrance tube.So, if you're an absent-minded sort, be careful not to hurt your hamster with the lid, and only let children use the cage under supervision.
