(More customer reviews)Hi all, I have recently purchased this product for my parakeet, so I can have him in a shower with me now, I need to only make him take a shower though, he is still pretty new and doesnt seem to find interest in it yet.. hope that changes soon.. I love this product, its not heavy, it sticks really well, you can move it around, parakeet sits well on it.. perfect for a budgie or conure or so.. probably not long enough or big enough for a big parrot.. Always happy with amazon, fast shipping and things are in a great condition when I recieve them.. my favorite purchasing website..

(More customer reviews)I bought this perch at a local bird store for my cockatiel.This is the second shower perch I have bought, as I have an indian ringneck as well.I like this one much better than the one I bought for my ringneck.The thing I like the best is the lack of a third suction cup.The perch I bought first has a third suction cup on the bottom, and with tile on the walls, it is hard to find a place where the third cup will stick.This one has two suction cups with a bumper on the bottom to brace it against the wall, and it works so much better and is more stable that way!It's great for my birds.They even have a larger size for those who have larger birds than I do.

(More customer reviews)Please do the right thing and buy one of these for every caged bird you keep. Always give a bird a heated perch. We now always use thermal perches (aka thermo perch) ever since it's come on the market/been invented. These have saved our bird's life on several occasions. We have an umbrella cockatoo and use the medium sized perch. He would catch at least 2 colds per year, sometimes life threatening. Birds hide sickness very well else in the wild flocks will abandon sick birds to avoid catching illnesses. By the time you notice they're sick it could be too late. In the past we tried heat lamps but he accidentally got too warm/burned skin). These perches are a perfect temp for him all the time. And they seem indestructible. Now our guy never catches a cold or gets sick (have we gotten lucky?). He's much calmer, less screaming, fidgeting, repetitive motion--stuff cockatoos do when not happy. He's much happier. We have a daytime cage and nighttime cage, both cages have thermal perches. When we board him we always set up a thermal perch. Rooms that are kept at temperatures comfortable for humans (70-74 deg f) are way too cold for many types of birds--they seem never warm enough for caged birds. Also please never put your bird where there is a draft from A/C or windows, etc because of household molds that can grow in the lungs and kill birds. BTW the easy way for us to tell if our bird is too cold is to touch his feet and beak; if they are not warm to the touch then he is too cold. Please do the right thing and use these perches. You should pay no more than forty for these.

(More customer reviews)I have two parakeets that just love this perch. Very handy for calcium, mild nail trimming, and beak scraping. One tip: do not make this your highest perch! Birds seem to like the highest point in the cage for sleeping and if this is the highest perch, they might end up with sore feet. I keep this perch near the food dish and both keets perch and scrape as needed. Both colors/flavors of this perch (it comes in strawberry as well) seem to be enjoyed equally. Very eye-appealing. Oh, and try not to get this perch wet. It can be cleaned easily by light scraping with a dry brush and if necessary, and/or a quick wipe with a slightly damp paper towel.
