(More customer reviews)I got this filter for a small tank that I keep guppies in. The fish seem to like it because it keeps the water very still for them, unlike the old filter I was using that created a pretty strong current.

(More customer reviews)I bought this product because I was loosing fish to desease and wanted something easy to use. My fish are now healthy and doing well. I'm very happy with how simple it is to use and how affective it's been. It also does a great job at circulating the water and injecting fine air bubbles into the tank. Only thing that was a bit tricky was getting the right adjustment on the air bubbles. This thing can really put out a lot of bubbles and it's diffucult to get it to a low level. Highly recommended to all!!

(More customer reviews)great product. it seems to be working well with my undergravel filter. it cycles the water faster than my air pump which, in turn, makes the water in my tank crystal clear. no matter how cloudy the water gets the powerhead cleans it up right beside the undergravel filter.

I use this filter on my 10g planted tank and an Aqua Clear 30 on my 10g Shrimparium.These filters have a standard tube intake and waterfall outflow.They are quiet and efficient; however if you like the sound of falling water, reducing the water level in your aquarium slightly will produce a small waterfall.They have the ability to control water flow by moving the intake U-tube right or left in the receiving slot.I find them easy to clean. They can easily receive a DIYCO2 line with no modification.Triple filtration; nice foam block on the bottom, charcoal bag in the middle and ammo media I think, on the top.I use bio-tubes instead.The charcoal bag can also be replaced with bio-tubes.Great product.

(More customer reviews)I have a 29-gal fish tank with a couple of large goldfish.I have been using the Emperor 480 filter system for years.I've tried the no-name brand filters for it, but none compare to the name brand of Marineland Emperor.It seems to last longer between replacements and is a much better product than the other name brands.
Shipping was quick and not damaged.Very satisfied!

This one comes in a clothe net bag, so there's no cutting or transferring the rocks, just rinse and drop. Although it kind of takes a bit longer for the beneficial bacteria to build up than the old one I got that has a plastic net.
