Other then that this is a really great pump, I am using it as a powerhead in my 5 gallon nano-reef and
It has been doing a great job for the past four months. It would have been nice if the box had instructions
that explained some of the extra pieces that came with the pump but all in all this is a great pump and I recommend
it to anyone that needs just a little bit of circulation or possibly an ATO as thats what I will soon be using
mine for.

(More customer reviews)Placed this in a 72G bowfront and the water movement from this unit is great. The magnets are very strong (watch your fingers), and the unit is constructed very well. The clamp has 4 prongs that snap into one of the magnet mounts. One of the prongs was missing on the unit I bought, and Tunze replaced it very quickly with no hassle. So great customer service as well. Look forward to buying one of the smaller units or one of the controllable units from Tunze soon.

(More customer reviews)Gives a cool lighting effect but what I really like is the intense amount of bubbles it puts out.--- Does take up a little tank space but in a 55 gal tank it's no problem for me.Aeration is important for oxygen content and fish health.So far this product has the others beat.Also, does not need a seperate pump so for the price and quality I rate this 5 stars and highly recommend!

(More customer reviews)I needed new powerheads after getting a wavemaker since my existing ones rattled and groaned more and more every time they restarted.
These have so far worked well, without noise. They have good, smooth, quiet output streams. My watt meter says 9 watts instead of the advertised 7 watts, however still far less than the equivalent output of what I had previously (23 watts). So some power savings is in order.
I very much like the magnetic base. I also like the swivel capability so I can place it almost anywhere and I'm not going to have to worry about aging suction cups causing falling pumps.
The one con I have is they are much larger than they appear in the picture.
But still I am happy and would recommend them.

The Perfect-a-Flow Undergravel Filter is a biological filtration system for fresh or saltwater aquariums. The filter circulates water through the gravel bed and oxygenates it for beneficial bacteria growth. The slots on the three filter plates have been designed to draw water evenly over the entire plate from front to back and left to right. The high tube connectors are molded into the filter plates to offer a secure grip onto the one-inch diameter lift tubes to keep the tubes from being knocked out by fish and preventing gravel from falling under the filter plate. There are twelve tubes holders and caps. The Perfect-A-Flo air stoneprovides aflow of fine bubbles. A 3/16 inch ridged tube connects to the air diffuser inside the uplift tube and will attach to airline tubing at the top of the uplift tube. When using an airpump and airstones use two uplift tubes per plate.The fish protector is molded right into each elbow to prevent fish from entering the uplift tubes.The Perfect-A-Flo Carbon Cartridge (not included) will fit into the fish protector.These cartridges contain top-quality activated carbon to remove harmful gases, odors, and unsightly discoloration.For powerhead attachment place the one-inch uplift tube on the outside tube holder. The powerhead should have a flow rate of 200-300gph. Use one uplift tube per plate when using a powerhead. Using a powerhead provides a higher flow rate which cuts down on algae growth and requires less maintenance, however, powerheads are harder to conceal.
